Professor De León’s research focus on the manipulation of light at nanoscopic dimensions, the design, fabrication and characterization of artificial materials (metamaterials) with enhanced optical properties, and the study of the optical interactions between molecules and metallic nanostructures for developing bio-nanosensors.
