Jeffrey H. Lang

Professor of Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)

  • Bachelor (1975), Master (1977) and PhD (1980), Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

  • Professor of MIT Electrical Engineering and Computer Science since 1980.

  • Associate Director of the MIT Laboratory for Electromagnetic and Electronic Systems (1991-2003).

  • Associate Editor of Sensors and Actuators between (1991-1994). 

Professor Lang's research and teaching interests focus on the analysis, design and control of electromechanical systems with an emphasis on rotating machinery, micro-scale (MEMS) sensors, actuators and energy converters, and flexible structures.
